In the second creation accounts, God created a garden in the midst of Eden. He use dew to water its garden since forth their was no man to till the ground. He then made four river which separate the whole garden into diffraction such as Pishon, Gihon, Tigris and Euphrate. God thought it fits to make man in his own image and likeness. He mold a mud and created man. He breathe into the nostrils of Adam and he became a living soul.
Adam was alone in the garden, and God decided to make a partner who will live will him. He cause him to sleep and took one of his ribs which he use to create Even. When Adam woke up, he saw the woman and call her Eve which means Woman. And God instruct them to name all the living creatures and let them be fruitful and multiple.
(i) To serve as man’s companion
(ii) To be fruitful and multiply
(iii) To be a helpmate to a man
(iv) To show God’s sovereignty
(i) To take care of the garden.
(ii) To work on the Garden of Eden.
2a) giving them freedom and a new nation. Jesus delivered all humanity from sin and death, giving us freedom and founding the church the body of Christ. Moses was in the wilderness for 40 years, working as a shepherd, before God called him back to Egypt to deliver his people. Jesus, the Chief Shepherd of our souls, fasted 40 days and 40 nights before beginning his ministry.
– To choose to identify with others
-To identify with the Jews, oppressed and downtrodden, when all the power of Pharaoh’s palace is yours for the taking, requires tremendous humility.
-Recognize that everyone has something to contribute. Listen to the ideas of your coworkers.
-It ‘s not about self- promotion. It’s about helping others. It’s about teaching others. It’s about helping others achieve their potential. It’s about the mission.
(5a) All three synoptic gospels record that Jesus was tempted after His baptism and before He began His ministry. The account in Mark is very brief (Mark 1:12). Matthew and Luke give fuller accounts, the only substantial difference being the order of the last two temptations (Matt. 4:1-11; Luke 4:1-13). Jesus is tempted to turn stones into bread, to throw Himself off the pinnacle of the Temple so that God will rescue Him spectacularly, and to gain control of the world through worshiping Satan. Each of the temptations seems to be directed both to His personal relationship to His Father and to His mission on earth. “If you are the Son of God . . .” echoes the declaration made at His baptism and is heard again when His other period of intense testing in the passion reaches its climax on the cross (Matt. 27:40,43).
i. Count on your death with Christ.
ii. Count on Christ’s life in you.
iii. Arm yourself with the Word of God.
James taught that if anybody lacks wisdom, that person must ask God who gives it generously without reproaching. James taught that whoever asked from God must ask in faith, not doubting because a person who doubts is like the wave of the sea, that is, driven and tossed by the wind. That person should not expect to receive anything from the Lord.James also taught that if anyone was suffering, that person should pray and if any was cheerful that person should sing praises.
He said if any was sick, that person should call the elders of the church to pray over him, to anoint him with oil in the name of the Lord and the prayer of faith would save him. He said the Lord will raise the person up and if he or she had committed any sins, the Lord will forgive the sin. James told the members to confess their sins to one another and pray for them to be healed. James taught that the prayers of a righteous man has power and is effective. For example, he said the Prophet Elijah was a righteous man whose prayers were effective. He said Elijah was a man just like men of today but he prayed that the rains would cease for three years six months and it was so. When he prayed again for rain, it came pouring on the earth, bring back life.
It is narrated that the holy Prophet (S) has said:
The first conditionis that of being a Muslim. Non-Muslims are, first and foremost, obliged to become Muslims after which the daily, monthly, yearly and once in a lifetime duties of Islam successively become requirements. Hajj is a religious duty which must be accompanied by the correct belief in order for it to be accepted by Allah.
The second and third conditionsare those of sanity and puberty. A Muslim has to have reached puberty and be of sound mind for his or her Hajj to become a duty. Divine rewards and punishments are given as a result of human choice between good and evil. Since a child or an insane person lack the ability to distinguish between good and evil, no religious duties are required of them. This principle of non-obligation is based on the followingHadithin which the Prophet (was reported to have said: “The pen is raised from (the book of deeds) of three: the sleeper until he awakes, the child until he becomes a young man, and the insane until he regains his sanity.”
However, those who help such individuals perform Hajj are rewarded for their efforts. When the Prophet (peace be upon him) was asked by a woman about her child making Hajj, he replied that the child could, but the reward would be given to her. Hence the insane individual who made Hajj while in a state of insanity is still required to make Hajj if he regains his sanity. Likewise, children who make Hajj are required to do so again when they grow up. The Prophet (peace be upon him) said, “Any child who makes Hajj then reaches puberty must make another Hajj.”
The fourth conditionis that of ability based on the following Quranic verse
“By the One, in Whose hand is my soul, Allah has not sent down a similar Surah to this Surah (Al-Fatihah), neither in the Turah, nor in the Gospel, nor in the Psalms, nor even in the Qur’an and it is Umm-ul-Kitab”; 1 which means that it is the basis and origin of all excellence.
In fact, besides referring to the Resurrection, this Surah presents facts concerning the Unity of the Divine Essence, Unity of Attributes, Unity of Divine Acts, and Unity of Worship. It is the essence of the whole meaning of the Qur’an.
It is narrated from Hadrat Amir-ul-Mu’mineen Ali (as) that:
“All secrets of Allah are in Divine Books; and the contents of all those Divine Books are comprised in the Qur’an; and what is found in the Qur’an is condensed in Surah Al-Al-Fatihah, and what is in Al-Fatihah is gathered in / bismillah /, and what is in /bismillah / is concentrated in / b /, (the first letter of ‘Bism-il-la ‘ )…” 2
Based on the entirety of great commentators’ statements, it is understood that this tradition indicates clearly the importance of both the Holy Qur’an and / bismillah-ir-rahman-ir-rahim / in which science and knowledge, from the beginning to the end, is comprised.
The interpreter and elucidator of these sciences is the holy Prophet (S), and after him there are his true vicegerents including Amir-ul-Mu’mineen Ali (as). 3
– Transition, which is most significantly for early Muslims, to the phase in which Islam was not only the act of worship, but a way of life. This was encompassing (surrounding) politics, economy, social interactions and every other aspect of life. This was the first time when Islam was looked upon as a comprehensive religion.
– Transition from a position where Muslims represented a small group of people, surrounded by enemies and threatened by death, to the position of a regional power with a strong central leadership. This was one that was surrounded by a large number of followers and allies.
– Transition from being a simple Islamic group of believers, to being the Islamic nation. This was an organized Islamic state, with a central leadership and other organizations.
Transition of Da’wah from regionalism, in which the focus was only on Quraysh and the tribes surrounding Makkah, to the phase of universalism. This is where the Muslim State began reaching out to Persia, Egypt, and the Byzantine Empire.
– Transition from the position of weakness, where the non-believers of Makkah – particularly the people of Quraysh- humiliated, tortured and killed Muslims, to the position of security. This is where Muslims were allowed to defend themselves and were able to defeat their adversaries.
– Transition from spreading Islam through individual Da’wah (inviting others to Islam) to the spreading of Islam through institutionalized Da’wah, initiated the state.
