Hapoel Be’er Sheva forward, Anthony Nwakaeme, is happy with the Israeli side’s passage into the playoffs of the UEFA Champions League.
The Isreali Champions defeated Ludogorets Razgrad 2-0 in the first leg and lost 3-1 in the second leg in Sofia, but advanced 3-3 on aggregates with an away goal edge.
“Last night was too hot. One assist thank God we made it,” Nwakaeme said.
“The main thing is we are through to the playoff round. This result could be good for us in the end.”
“I’m not quite sure it was one for the spectators, but we’ve accomplished here and we were probably the better team. We created lots of chances but we just couldn’t take them.
“It was not an easy game to win or to score in but we are still pleased because we are through,” The Nigerian said.
Hapoel Be’er Sheva are unseeded for the draw billed to hold on Friday 4 Augustat the UEFA headquarters in Nyon, France.
They are ranked ninth from the Champions route due to their low coefficients of 10.875.
The first legs will be played on 15/16 August, with the returns taking place on 22/23 August.
