Alexis Sanchez is in line to feature for Arsenal, when they take on Chelsea in the Community Shield this Sunday.
The Chile international finally returned to training on Tuesday, after playing for his country in this year’s Confederations Cup and suffering from a bout of flu.
His future still remains the subject of uncertainty, amid reports linking him with a transfer to Paris Saint-Germain and Manchester City.
Having earlier posted a picture of his arrival in London, next to a photo on social media of him running, Sanchez wrote: “Back to training.”
The player’s potential availability, would be a significant boost to Wenger, who remains adamant Sánchez will not leave the club this summer.
Wenger would also be eager to test him alongside club-record £46.5m signing Alexandre Lacazette.
